Luminescent properties of trivalent lanthanides are extensivelystudied because of their use not only in analytical chemistry andbiomedicine (Caravan et al., 1999; Selvin, 2002). In thiscontribution, luminescence properties of selected lanthanidecomplexes will be discussed.
