Effect of heavy metals ions on the antioxidant activity of Norway spruce tissue cultures
Abstract
Heavy metal contaminations of land resources continue to be thefocus of numerous environmental studies and attract a great deal of attention worldwide. Plants experience oxidative stress uponexposure to heavy metals that leads to cellular damage anddisturbance of cellular ionic homeostasis. Our work was aimed atinvestigation of cadmium influence on Norway spruce explantculture and its effect on antioxidant activity.
