About J Biochem Tech

Journal of Biochemical Technology is an International Journal published by the Sevas Publishing, Sevas Educational Society, a NGO working for the development of biotechnology in villages. The Journal was started to help life science faculties working in educational institutes located in and around villages. The unique Authors Advisory Board of this journal is instituted to help the Students and faculties to achieve international standards in technical report writing without any financial implications.

"Authors Advisory Board" will help authors to reach Journal standards. Research articles not reaching a satisfactory standard will be given to the advisory board by the editor. Advisory Board will assist authors in experimental protocols, analysis procedures, presentation style, formating, submitting articles online, understanding author instructions etc... Please join our team of experts (Authors Advisory Board Members) for the development of biotechnology in developing countries. Professors, scientists, research scholars can join this advisory board by sending a request email to the Editor (editor@jbiochemtech.com) with their personal profile. Detailed List of Advisory Board Members was available in the journal website.

2008: The first issue of Journal of Biochemical Technology

2011: Former Editorial Advisory Member, Alex Georgakilas, was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Biochemical Technology by the Publishing Editor RNL Naidu.

Dr. Alexandros Georgakilas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the East Carolina University (ECU) and adjunct Assistant Professor at Dept. of Chemistry, ECU. His research interests focus on the delineation of the DNA repair pathways involved in the processing of oxidative clustered DNA lesions and implications to carcinogenesis. He is responsible for the DNA Damage and Repair laboratory at ECU and having trained several graduate and undergraduate students. His work has been supported by various non-federal funding sources, including a NC Biotechnology Grant. He also has an excellent track record of productivity in oxidative stress, DNA repair and cancer research, including a recent collaborative publication in Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences USA associating tumor growth and DNA clusters induction in vivo. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed papers and several conference proceedings. He holds the following editorial positions as Associate Editor of Radiation Research, Molecular Biosystems (Advisory Board), World Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Biotechnology Applications.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The publication division is financially supported by donations given to the Sevas Educational Society.

Open Access publication - Donations

Journal of Biochemical Technology is running by Sevas Publishing, Sevas Educational Society, (Non-Governmental/Not-for-profit organization) and does not receive funding from any institution/government.
